For me, this is the best family style comfort food. It really feels like you're stepping into a Grandma's dining room. Informal seating, cash only ($30 will cover you +1 and tip easy). Homemade stuff you likely grew up eating, but don't want or can't make yourself. I love the variety of breakfast plates, and when it's time for real comfort, you can ask for the special of the day and a plate of REAL food shows up with flavor, pleasant textures, and a smile. I've been here a few times and always been happy to bring someone with me, and we always leave full and happy. This is a place where regulars are known by name, and easy conversion flows. I've made a point to visit other smaller restaurants in the area including Grace's (veggie omlet came out undercooked), Misty's Menu(okay, but farther away and higher prices), and Olympic (no flavor to the pancakes like eating a flour Frisbee) and others outside of town. This place is a true family restaurant, and you can taste and feel it.

Stopped in for the first time for some breakfast and it was very good, affordable and relaxing. Edie did an excellent job on service and the food came out hot. Crisp hashbrowns(which is how they should always be), great biscuits n gravy and country fried steak n gravy.
The service was excellent, as was the food. It's small and quaint and we were made to feel welcome and at home. Very friendly staff and great prices. We will be back!

Gem of a diner! Ordered the wisconsin omelet and a bacon cheeseburger. Everything was the all American delicious. Hubby had fresh baked carrot cake, yum! Love the atmosphere and the friendliness they bring. Just passing through but wont forget this place the next time we're in town!
